This Is What’s Shaking (Since You Asked)

It feels like I slept too much today.  I’m tired of this third shift schedule in which I have to rearrange my sleep patterns every weekend.

Oh, you were waiting for further Lollpalooza updates?  Sorry, I was pretty well beat after the third day and aside from seeing Neko Case there wasn’t much I got excited about on Sunday.  Red Eye Chicago totally published my Neko tweet, so that was cool.

Right now I’m up working on super secret projects.  Some of you may be in the loop.  Thanks for keeping the word mum.  Last night I went to the Empty Bottle to see Light Pollution.  They put on a good set, but I wish it had been a little longer.  It will be as no surprise to many that I plan to be in the city again next weekend and hoping to play open mic at the Lucky Number Grill Saturday night.  This is one for the night owls as it doesn’t get started until 10p.m. and goes until 2a.m.

Still waiting to hear back, but I’ll probably be taking my crash course in screen printing on September 5th, effectively giving me something to do every weekend until Sept 26.  The breakdown:

  • Aug 29: Open Mic @ Lucky Number Grill
  • Sept 5: Screen Printing @ Screwball Press
  • Sept 12: Renegade Craft Fair in Wicker Park & DeKalb County Fair in Sandwich, IL
  • Sept 19: Family wedding in Lexington, KY

In the meantime I hope to keep working on this secret project as much as possible (wink, wink).
