Running out the door…
A few things…
Tomorrow night I’m heading to the Riviera Theater to see Third Eye Blind. Should be good. Before hand I’ll be hanging out for a bit at Frtiz Pastry at 1408 W. Diversy. It’s the latest European inspired pastry shop/café to open in Chicago having just opened today. I believe all the food is vegetarian, but don’t quote me on that. Anyway, my friend Jared is one of the proprietors of this establishment and I wish them all much success for years to come.
I keep finding deals on motorcycles, but I should stop looking altogether and play the guitar. I’m hoping to book a couple little gigs before the end of summer.

If you see Jared there you should mention working the wedding. Mike said that would be a better idea than the guy we know.
Matt and I went to Fritz Pastry yesterday and were completely charmed by the whole experience. A bunch of the pastries were vegan, too, which was a nice surprise. As a result I had probably the unhealthiest thing I’ve eaten in years, but oh was it delicious.
How was Third Eye Blind, anyway?
Oh, you should have told me you were going! I almost went up to see Jared this weekend and if I knew you were going to be in the area I would have made the trip for sure! Anyway, I’m glad you enjoyed it. Third Eye Blind was good, but now I don’t have anything else lined up until Lollapalooza in August.
John, I’m so sorry! You had mentioned how rarely you go to Chicago, so it didn’t even occur to me. We plan to go back later this summer, though. I’ll let you know when.
