Did you know September 19 is International Talk Like A Pirate Day?  If I were twelve again, I’d be all over this.

Things I keep meaning to post about:

• Materialism 2008:  This is where I talk about pretty shiny things I want, why I want them, and when I might get them.  The point of this exercise is to realize how much of this stuff I really don’t need and don’t have time to use, and figure out which few I should legitimately budget for accordingly.
• Election 2008: I have opinions on this and they might be worth sharing.  Let me just say right now that I have no clear favorite candidate.  Living in Illinois, the home state of Barrack Obama, I feel confident that our electoral votes will go his way, so I may cast my vote for a third party candidate just to be difficult.
• NaNoWriMo 2008: To write or not to write?  On one hand, I very well may be moving to my own place after November 1st, so do I really want to take this on while I’m trying to settle in?  On the other hand, it’s important to set goals and stick to them to prove it can be done.

Tomorrow morning I’m supposed to go look at the apartment in Hinckley.  I hope it all checks out. I may work some overtime tonight.  This weekend (and right now even) I’m supposed to be cleaning my room and stuff from my old room.  And appraiser is coming to look at the house so that my parents can see about refinancing.  I’d also like to finally put together my snail mail newsletter.  I’ve written good chunks of it already, but I actually need to sit down and do it.

Also, I’ve been working on a new website for myself.  When it’s done I’ll be sure to say something, but it gets done in bits and pieces.
