Weekend Update..

The day at the game was okay.  The game was fairly boring.  No double plays, few hits, and a whole lot of walks.  It cost me $6.75 to find out that I still don’t like beer, but maybe I’ll try it again in another six years.  When I finally got home I had been up for almost 24 hours.

Today I called about the apartment in Aurora, but it was gone.  I’m going to keep my eye open for another deal like that because I was getting a lot of positive information about living downtown.

Aside from that I went running, practiced guitar, did some sketching, and tried my hand at some linoleum block printing.  The printing didn’t go as well as I’d hoped.  I’m also finding it’s hard to do much of a design on 4″ x 6″ blocks.  In order to get good consistent prints I’m going to have to create a jig to keep paper registered and something to press the blocks with uniformly.  Instead of hard linoleum blocks secured to blocks of MDF, I have soft flexible blocks that are difficult to manipulate.  So I spent hours cutting paper into the appropriate size and ended up with twenty-some unsatisfactory prints, but at least I made an effort, right?
