Hooray for art and art stuffs!
Early this morning I ordered some brand new art supplies for brand new art creation. For now I’m ordering through Dick Blick and today I ordered some 7″ titanium scissors, assorted handmade paper, glue, pens and assorted block printing supplies. Block printing is sort of the poor man’s screenprinting. Over the weekend I was trying to finish work on a robot drawing, but I found my one semi-fancy pen to be unreliable, so the initial reason for my order were Sakura Pigma Micron pens. I’ve yet to dive into reusable technical pens, but that will be next.
Yesterday I also stumbled onto Google’s Artist A Day feature. Yesterday’s artist, Rashaan Harper, was kind enough to stop by this blog and comment on some of my drawings. I’m looking forward to future artist profiles. Not only does it inspire to create more things myself, but reminds me that I need to get some art for my own walls (and find a place of my own with more walls).
Throughout the week I’ll probably be doing some sketches for potential block prints and maybe I’ll start on one this weekend if I can make more progress on my robot drawing.
